Englewood, CO – June 8, 2021 – Aegis Spine held a ribbon-cutting and grand opening celebration on May 28 for its new Research & Development Center. Located in the Irvine Business District at 2601 Main Street in Irvine, California, the R&D Center will help Aegis to deliver the next generation of spine implant technology.
“This R&D Center will enable us to advance innovation and positive outcomes in spine surgery, and access top engineering talent in the Southern California area,” said Tony Ahn, CEO of Aegis Spine. “As part of our transition to U.S. manufacturer, we’ve assembled a team of engineers focused on the development of products to improve currently established surgical procedures, and also to develop novel solutions for spine patients and surgeons.”
Aegis Spine marked its transition to U.S. manufacturer in January, when the FDA approved several products, including Aegis’ SI Joint Fusion System, Lumbar Plate & Screw, Posterior Cervical and MIS system. While Aegis will continue to offer products sourced from other companies, Aegis is committed to working with the engineering and surgeon talent in the U.S. to develop the most innovative products in the industry.
